Gaby´s was our best restauant in Puerto Vallarta Gaby´s restaurant in Puerto Vallarta was the all over best restaurant we went to during our stay. Proffesional and friendly staff, fast service. Excellent food and wine and not expensive. Location is in the city centre 5 min walk from romantic zone and a cozy atmosphere. Make a reservation or you´ll have to wait for a table because its a very busy place.

Excellent First Diner in Puerta Vallarta The first night in a new place can be hectic, so I took a quick look at reviews and ended up at Gaby's as it was just a few minutes walk from our Airbnb. We could not have been more pleased. We each had a different fish dish (so we could share) and both were great, beautiful presentation as well. With drinks and tip, our bill was about 65 USD, tax is included in the menu price. We sat outside and had a nice view. No wait and friendly service.

Excellent cooking class! On a whim we booked the cooking class with Chef Julio. What an interesting, engaging, entertaining and delicious experience! Loved the trip to many vendors used by Chef Julio and his connections to the people and their products was very evident. He was always happy to share with us other restaurants or taco stands that made the best local specialities. Back at the rooftop kitchen we all worked together to create our delicious meal. Would definitely recommend adding this experience to your list of things to do in PV.

Excellent experience at culinary classes We took a cooking class at Gaby's and it was just a fantastic experience. Chef Julio Cesar is not only a chef, but historian anf a great tour guide. We walked through the old town visiting various stores and buying provisions for our meal. We then cooked more dishes that I can list here - several excellent salsas, tacos, ceviche, fish, all full of flavor. We learned a lot about history of Mexico and Mexican food. And we had a ton of fun. If you can just stop here for a lunch or dinner, do just that, but we highly recommend the cooking class as truly wholesome experience.

Cooking class and Cultural Experience extraordinaire! The day started with a history lesson and plan for the day. Then we walked to the Old Town, stopping at the fish monger, produce market, tortilla shop and butcher to purchase the food for our meal. We sampled a fresh corn tortilla warm off the press. Some of us walked back, others went in the van with the groceries. Then the cooking began in the roof top kitchen! Chef Julio assigned different tasks to each person, so the only downside was that you didn't get to see how everything was made. We made 3 kinds of salsa, guacamole, 3 sauces, ceviche, tortilla chips and then enjoyed our "Taco Bar". Then Chef made his "secret mole", which we enjoyed with chicken and rice. Finally we sampled Chile relenos. Mmmm! Chef gave us lots of tips on buying produce, proper ways to slice and dice, and we each left with a digital cookbook! It was a full day, 8:45am to 3pm. I highly recommend this activity!
